Results of terrestrial leveling that was performed between several of the network stations.

In April, 2000 Mark Bardakjian of Andregg, Incorporated (a Surveying/Engineering firm in Auburn, CA) ran a series of levels using a digital level between four sets of stations. These stations are all part of the Yolo County GPS/Vertical network observed in 1999.
The differences in elevation for the four baselines from Mr. Bardakjians levels are:

KEATON-WOODPORT -12.792 FT.  (-3.899M)
LIBRARY-HPGN 03 DG -13.774 FT. (-4.198M)
LIBRARY-CHURCH -13.785 FT. (-4.202M)
FERRY-P 1031 6.070FT. (+1.850M)

The results of the National Geodetic Survey adjustment of the Yolo County GPS Subsidence Project ( received April 27, 2000) provided the following elevations for the stations included above (GPS-derived elevations are only published to the nearest centimeter):

CHURCH 24.13M
FERRY 12.12M
HPGN 03 DG 24.13M
KEATON 35.84M
LIBRARY 19.93M
P 1031 10.26M
WOODPORT 39.75M

Using the NGS GPS-derived elevations the baseline differences are:

KEATON-WOODPORT -3.91M (-3.899M) -1.1 4.4

LIBRARY-CHURCH -4.20M (-4.202M) +0.2 2.9

The comparison between the GPS-derived elevation differences and the terrestrial (digital) leveling differences agrees to within about one centimeter or better.
