The station is located in the southwest portion of the city of Rocklin, Placer County, at the top of a rock outcrop knoll west of the railroad crossing at Farron Street..

To reach the station from the intersection of Interstate Highway 80 and Rocklin Road, go west on Rocklin Road for 0.75 mi to the intersection of Pacific Street. Turn left and go southwest on Pacific Street for 0.4 mi to the intersection of Farron Street. Turn right and go northwest on Farron Street for about 0.08 mi to the intersection of the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks. Turn left and go southwest along the northwest side of the tracks for about 110 m to the station on the right atop the knoll.

The station is a standard U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey bench mark disk set in a drill hole in the southeast side of a 10m by 18 m section of exposed bedrock. It is 72.3 m northwest of the northwest rail, 46.6 m northwest of a fence, 8.4 m north of bench mark F 1200, about 0.3 m above the ground and flush with the rock. It is about 6 m above the railroad tracks.
